Bill schmidtke

Manager, Technology

Before Bill came to Urban Impact, he spent 6 years as a USAF Instructor Pilot and 27 years as a Design/Project engineer for the Mine Safety Appliances Company. After 4 years of volunteering, his desire was to put God's words into action. This led him to his UIF position in which he handles the organization's technology issues, manages IT purchases, and provides technical training for UIF students and staff. He continues to volunteer in the basketball program where he sees kids' attitudes change from distrust to trust. The vision he feels the Lord has given him is to start a UIF "hands on" technology program for students in grades 3-8.

Bill lives in Zelienople with his wife. He has 4 children and 5 grandchildren.
