Donna sims-reed

Program Assistant, Athletics

Donna was a volunteer for the HS Basketball League as a scorekeeper before coming on board to serve the North Side through the Urban Impact Athletics Program. She is no stranger to the North Side, however. That's because she spent 20 years as a police officer here with the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police. She and her husband John are also former business owners.

Now that she's on staff, Donna lends her knack for organization to the work she does for Athletics, which includes working with mentors, pursuing volunteers and mentors, building curriculum, and administrative tasks. Donna says, "I love the loving atmosphere and working with people who are obvious followers of Christ. They really care about the youth they serve."

Donna has two older daughters and a son by marriage.
